Contents.PersonalI first saw the original The Goonies in an arcade, but never played it. Later, I saw The Goonies II in the and thought the game looked really cool. I rented it and got all the way to end (thanks to The Official Nintendo Players Guide), but didn't know how to open Annie's sealed cage at the end and had to return it. Years later, I played the game again got all the way to the end, and discovered all I needed to do was find one more key to unlock the cage! I prefer this style of game with more adventure and usability from the gear and gadgets, but overall, I think the first game is stronger because it doesn't have the agonizing the 3D tunnels.StatusI have beat the NES game with 100% completion, though, with a lot of hints from The Official Nintendo Players Guide.Review67556Best Version: NES— This section contains spoilers! — Good. The graphics and music are both pretty good for the time.

Arcade mac. An arcade archery set simulates hunting in the wild, while a Minions pinball game gives of the movie quite the thrill. What are some of the more unique arcade games? In addition to the arcade classics, we feature unique games, such as a martial arts trainer where players score points by hitting the game.

The controls are pretty responsive and easy to work with. Jumping isn't as comfortable as the physics defying, but it's not as bad as either. The game is very large and offers a wonderful adventure in various environments like damp caves, stuffy buildings, ice caverns, underwater, etc.

The Goonies II (Nintendo NES, 1987) w/ Manual & Plastic Case. No missing pages or writing in the booklet. The cover art and liner notes are included for a CD. VHS or DVD box is included. Video game instructions are included. No skipping on CD/DVD. Aug 28, 2012  'The Goonies II' is a cult game that has a rather devoted following among NES afficionados, and for good reason. It's a quality title from early in the NES's lifespan (came out the same year as the American release of the original 'The Legend of Zelda', 'Kid Icarus', and 'Metroid').

And each has its own unique monsters to fight. There is a wide variety of items and weapons. While practically nothing from the movie is used in the game, it still captures the spirit of running from the Fratellis, discovering treasure, and playing with fun gear. The differing shoes are especially nice to get.Bad.

While the game is much larger than the first, a lot of the additions are just unnecessary busy work. The 3D tunnels are an interesting idea. They offer a respite from the action and have an unique facing-direction mechanic. However, they ultimately hurt the game because they're difficult to navigate and searching slows down the game. Oh sure, I understand why the Fratelli's hideout contains a massive subterranean cave complex full of old men, women, super heroes, Eskimos, and fish monsters, but what's the deal with kidnapping a mermaid?.

Speaking of the mermaid, she is hidden behind a metal wall, without a key hole, and, to open it, you have to use a key. Kind of a dick move.Ugly.

In order to find necessary items in the tunnels, you must hit the back wall with your fist (even if there is a door); hit the back wall, ceiling, and floor with your hammer; and use glasses in every damn room. This is an obnoxious chore and seriously hurts the game. Some of the items in the rooms are hidden in a completely unintuitive manner, like when you have to hit an old lady several times with no change in her response before she gives you an item.Media Documentation.
