In the fairly unconventional, but ultimately disappointing Demons to Diamonds, the player moves a laser base right and left along the bottom of the screen, firing lasers at blocky looking demons that move sideways across the playfield. Shooting demons of the same color as your ship produces a diamond (which can be shot for bonus points) while destroying demons of another color produces deadly skulls (an inventive touch). In the potential-laden two-player mode, the second gamer controls a laser base that operates along the top of the screen. Unfortunately, the game lacks intensity.
