CapcomV'S IDENTITYV is the mysterious new character that appears in Devil May Cry 5, and his ability to summon three demons to fight on his behalf make him a cool new addition. But its his identity that plays a big role in the story.Players are given snippets of V's motives as we learn more about the demon Urizen. V is also physically weaker than Nero and Dante and tires easily, but there's a reason for that. It turns out that V was once part of Urizen. It's revealed later that Urizen is Dante's older brother Vergil.Nero's arm was taken by a mysterious figure in the first stages of the DMC 5 story, we learn that person was Vergil who was sickly but looking to gain absolute power from the underworld.

He used Nero's arm, the Devil Breaker that absorbed the power of the Yamato, to regain the sword.Vergil then used the Yamato to stab himself to purge his humanity, creating V.Vergil has amassed great power from the underworld, becoming Urizen. V, whose lifeforce is slowly fading as the story continues, eventually makes it to the battlefield where Dante and Urizen are.Once Dante takes down the 'Demon King,' V is reabsorbed into Urizen becoming Vergil once more.Vergil and Dante have been at odds for years, and the older brother still believes humanity isn't worth saving, and that power is everything. This, of course, clashes with Dante's beliefs and the two continue their fight. Nero's new power.

CapcomNERO'S NEW POWERAfter Nero's arm is taken, there's an inferiority complex going on inside the young man. Dante calls him 'dead weight' more than once during the story, and the legendary demon hunter doesn't include Nero in his quest to take down Urizen.Nero appears just as V becomes Virgil again, and that's when Dante reveals to him Vergil is his father. Nero, who never grew up knowing his father, is shocked at this revelation. Dante doesn't want Nero to have to kill his old man, so it's up to him to take out his brother. At first, the revelation takes Nero out of the picture but he comes to the realization that he doesn't want anyone to die and that there has to be a way to stop Vergil without killing him.Nero's will to live and protect the ones he loves unlocks his Devil Trigger, as the young man unleashes a new form that's like a mix of demon and angel.

His arm also grows back.Using this new power, Nero stops Dante and Vergil from fighting. But Vergil and Nero make a deal, if Nero can win then he will stop his quest and help stop the underworld from coming to the real world. CapcomFUTURE OF DEVIL MAY CRYOnce you defeat Vergil with Nero, Dante and Vergil figure out that the only way to stop the underworld from fully crossing over is to seal the portal between the two worlds. However, someone needs to be on the underworld side to do it and Dante volunteers for the job.Nero says he should be the one, but Dante tells him that Nero is more than capable of protecting the world in his absence. In actuality, Dante and Vergil seal the portal from the underworld which brings the real world back to normal. The brothers continue their seemingly endless feud in the underworld. On Earth, Nero continues to travel around with Nico and her van taking out demons and other supernatural beings. He still uses Nico's Devil Breakers, but they are now merely gauntlets instead of prosthetics. But what of Trish and Lady?
