Over our year of planning her wedding, we talked about so much more than wedding planswe talked about life and faith and family and business. We truly connected! Sometimes when the big day is all over, I gain more than the satisfaction of a job well doneI gain a friend and that is how I feel with Kristin!Kristin is the always positive, bright and cheery force behind the popular blog! (check it out, it is so great!) Matt is a kind and fun loving soul who is her perfect match!

Here is a little about their wedding dayThe ceremony took place at the private residence of Grand Haven’s local music celebrity Dave Palmer. If any of you know Dave, you will know his passion for music reaches far beyond the amazing music studio in his home and those fantastic guitars on his wall. He is a talent for sure but he is also very generous! His beautiful lawn was spot Kristin had been searching for for months but did not know it!The reception took place at!

Ohthis reception was beautiful! From the gorgeous centerpieces to the gold flatware and vintage goblets to the stunning linens, this wedding had it ALL! Crusader kings 2 torrent.

Yet another reason to always reply to those Freecycle posts offering up glass table tops. They can be used to repurpose so many things.

It really was so much fun helping Kristin pick out each and every detail. Her taste is impeccable and her vendor team nailed her vision! The absolute star of the show (aside from Kristin) was the greenery and floral wall behind the head table.

Skeeter Parkhouse of created this custom piece and my oh my, it was amazing! Top it off with a chandelier that the bride’s mother purchased for the occasion and a gorgeous greenery swag AND that folks, is how you do a head table!!! Thankfully we had the uber-talented there that day to capture all of the wedding loveliness!Another great detail of the day was the end of night donut bar! Who doesn’t love a good donut right?!

(especially from ) The sign “Grab one or two for your morning brew” was created by and it was the perfect grab and go favor station as guests left the reception. This pic was snapped with my iPhone and although I’m no Jill DeVries, it’s not awful! The highlight of the day (aside from the gorgeousness surrounding me) was the bride and groom’s lip sync battle at the end of the night! Yes, I said lip sync battle! Kristin was apprehensive at first and almost didn’t do it. Matt pulled out all the charm he could muster to talk her into it and she finally said yes! Now let me tell you, this gal with a microphone in her hands is not the same person. My goodness she turned lip sync diva in about 3 seconds.

It was SO much fun to watch! What a great day for a great couple! I wish them nothing but the absolute best and I am looking forward to future coffee dates with Kristin!Venue: // Photographer: // Floral Design: // Cake: // Rentals: // Linens: // Gown: // Chalkboard Sign: // Vintage Goblets: // Vintage Doors:Posted inComments Off on kristin + matt harbourfront grand hall January 24, 2014Another gorgeous Lake Michigan wedding.Maegan and Lance chose Grand Haven as the location for their destination wedding. They live on the east side of the state along with their entire family and just fell in love with the area.

I was happy to help them make their dream wedding a reality! With the help of an amazing team of vendors, we pulled off the perfect beach ceremony and reception at. The fantastic was there to capture it all on film!

I’m so excited to share this wedding with you today, friends. Yesterday I shared our feature over on and today I’m diving into all of the details from Ellen and Pat’s Grand Rapids Downtown Market wedding. The couple hired me on the last day of January earlier this year to plan their May 2nd wedding.

Yes, you read that right. In under just 12 weeks we put this incredible celebration together and I have to say it’s easily one of my favorites. Sometimes when there is less time to ponder over options during the wedding planning process, you have to act on your gut instinct and make decisions faster. Booking vendors and approving designs was a breeze with Ellen and Pat because everything circled back to their core values and their biggest goal; a beautiful day with meaningful details that didn’t outshine the love they wanted their guests to experience. And that’s just what they got.Enjoy the gorgeous photos from. Ellen and Pat, we love you both! All of the gorgeous paper was done by the talented. Ellen and Pat are minimalists through and through so the simple yet elegant design we chose for the invites was perfect.

We did custom wrap labels instead of calligraphy and added in Michigan themed and neutral colored vintage stamps for a fun touch. The programs, menus and escort cards all carried through the simplistic aesthetic the couple so loves and embodies. Love that simple monogram, too! This bouquet is hands down one of my favorites.

Since the wedding happened at the very beginning of the spring season I had access to some pretty spectacular florals like snowberry, white peony, cream garden roses, white clematis, white anemones and some pretty lovely scabiosa. Tied together with fresh bay leaves and clematis vine foliage it was so lush and textural.

A cream colored raw muslin ribbon was wrapped around the stems and a necklace belonging to the bride’s late Mother was the final piece to create this beauty. Giving it to her that morning was such an honor. The greenhouse at the market is far too lovely for words. That climbing vine is spectacular. The ceremony was held outside in the market shed with very minimal decor.

We used oversized bunches of bay and olive branch greens and clusters of white pillar candles tucked into industrial type lanterns of various sizes. At the alter where the couple said their vows we had a beautiful acrylic chandelier from that I decorated with greens and fresh blooms like clematis.

The chandelier was actually a small little surprise from yours truly and really was the finishing touch to the sleek and modern space that on it’s own is a pretty cool backdrop to say ‘I Do’ in front of.A table of mixed beverages awaited guests as they came upstairs for dinner post ceremony. This shot. Seriously. And that wall! After grabbing a signature drink of choice, guests were able to find their escord card. The escort card was set up on the market space’s wall adorned with the same pieces of raw muslin fabric from around Ellen’s bouquet and escort cards fastened to them.

The ribbon pooled at the bottom of the wall with a few pillar candles in the mix. An oversized floral arrangement sat in the corner of the display to soften things up a little and add a natural pop of green.Farmhouse tables for the win!And why not have your first dance to Beyonce’s ‘Love On Top’?Ellen and Pat, you two are a joy.
