Ask, Care Escort (ACE) Training (ACE) is the Army-approved suicide prevention and awareness training model. ACE is approximately one and one half hours long. The key training objective is awareness training (risk factors and warning signs). IAW AR 600-63 ACE training is conducted annually. The two-day ASIST workshops are coordinated locally and taught by ASIST certified training personnel. 5-Day ASIST Train the Trainer (T4T): ASIST T4T is additional training available which equips personnel with the ability to train ASIST. ASIST T4T certification requires the individual to complete a five-day course and conduct three (3) ASIST 2-day classes within the first year and one (1) for each year thereafter. The five-day workshops are coordinated through Suicide Prevention Program Managers (SPPM).
